A guide with good manners.

Lucky Monarch is an independent hotel guide covering England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We organise stays by country, railway route, mood and length of trip so you can find the right place quickly.

What we do

We research hotels, summarise what makes each one worth a visit, and point you to the property itself to book. We do not process reservations or payments.

How we choose

Every hotel earns its place for a clear reason: its setting, its character, its convenience or its value. We aim to describe each one fairly and without hype.
